PURPOSE:To quicken the rise of load by shortening the operation time for limitation of an overcurrent in the case of driving the load where a rush current is large, in a power MOSIC. CONSTITUTION:Between a power MOSFET 6 and a drive circuit 3 are provided a frequency modulation circuit 4 and a voltage-frequency conversion circuit 11, which perform the variable driving from a low frequency to a high frequency when an overcurrent detection circuit 10 operates at load driving, this the rise of load quicker than conventional equal interval driving is materialized. Similarly, the same influence can also be gotten by a pulse width modulation method, too. |
