Non-rigid street-light post 10 which yields and thus reduces impact in the event of a collision. According to the invention, the post structure includes a tube-like inner casing 12 and an outer casing 11, the space between these having been filled with hard cellular plastic. The outer casing 11 has been formed from two or more segments 14 in the longitudinal direction of the post, which segments, in the lower part of the post, have been coupled to each other by clamping joints 17. Under the effect of the collision against the post, at least one joint opens and the outer casing at least partially fractures. <IMAGE>
