The method allocates several different velocity values instead one kind of velocity value for representing the keyboard touch intensity, and as its resulting effects, volume can be varied according to the player's intention or kinds of selected instrument. The method is implemented by a Micom (2) to control volume and tone generation, having with many key velocity tables one of which is selected by pressing mode switches (SW1,SW2..) during play.
