<p>A chair with freely attachable and removable armrests (2) comprises a basic chair unit (1) wherein a leg (5) and a back rest portion (6) attached to a frame (4) on a lower surface of a seat portion (3), the two ends of the lower surface in the lateral direction of the seat portion (3) being provided with armrest attachment portions (8). An attachment end portion (20) provided at the lower end of each armrest (2) comprises a positioning protrusion portion (25) that can be inserted into a positioning hole provided in an internal portion of one of the armrest attachment portions (8). An attachment base portion (spacer) (26) is positioned and held in close contact with guide surfaces (17, 18) along a guide portion (11, 12) of the armrest attachment portion (8), and a removal-prevention means (31) in the armrest attachment portion (8) is provided for preventing the removal of the attachment end portion (20). Thus, armrests (2) can be removed from the basic chair unit (1) by a simple operation. <IMAGE></p> |
