PURPOSE:To enhance the use of convenience of a video telephone set by inhibiting an output of a video image of a called party automatically and displaying a video image of a caller on a monitor. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU of a communication controller 7 detects off-hook of a switch 6, a power application control circuit 10 supplies power to a camera 1 and a monitor 3 or the like, and call processing is implemented according to a telephone number from a key board 9. Then a CPU 8 of a video telephone set at a caller side starts inter-communication and an output of a video image of the caller is started. A CPU 8 of a video telephone set at a called party receives the video image and the caller is displayed on a monitor 3. In this case the CPU 8 of the video telephone set at the called party inhibits an output of the video image of the called party and no called party is displayed on the monitor 3 of the caller side. Then the called party enters the permission of the output of its own video image from a key board 9, then the CPU 8 of the video telephone set of the called party starts outputting the video image of the called party and then the inter-video image communication is started. |
