PURPOSE: To enable a reliable fixing of suture by forming a device, which is attachable on a cord of a body and is embeddable in the body for strengthening bone, with a membrane composed of a substantially plane specific polymer having a roundish external form and plural holes allowing the suture through. CONSTITUTION: This device is composed of a plane membrane 1 having a roundish external form and has two pairs of holes 2, 3, 4, 5 for allowing the suture through. The whole edge of the device is made to be round to prevent for stimulating tissue. Spikes 7 are formed on a surface 6 of the device facing to a cord in order to prevent sliding of the device and a bar 9 for strengthening is mounted on an opposing surface 8. The membrane 1 is made from absorbable or decomposable polymer, i.e., poly-hydroxy acid, polysaccharide and the like, having Young's modulus between 1 to 50GPa and tensile strength between 0.1 to 20.0GPa. When an injured cored of the body is treated, the device 1 is arranged on a surface 17 of the cord 18 by opening a local part and fixed with the suture 19 by using the holes 2, 3, 4, 5. |
