PURPOSE:To maintain the appearance of a cover body covering an air bag. CONSTITUTION:To a base plate 21 a gas generator and an air bag 36 are attached. A fragile dotted line 53 is formed in an almost H shape at the inner side of the upper face part 52 of a cover body 51 covering an air bag 36. An attaching piece 57 of a cover body 51 is attached to a base plate 21, on which a pair of support bodies 41 are mounted. At the upper end of a support body 41 an opposite part to the inner face of the cover body 51 is formed. When pressure is applied to the cover body 51 from the outer face side, the opposite part 43 of the support 41 abuts on the inner face of the cover body 51 so that and the cover body 51 does not deform along the dotted line 53. |
