PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound, having sustained hypotensive action and effective in use for treating hypertension, etc., by reacting 1,4- dihydropyridinecarboxylic acid with an azetidinium salt. CONSTITUTION:A 1,4-dihydropyridinecarboxylic acid expressed by formula I (R1 is alkyl; X, Y and Z are H, halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro, etc.) is reacted with an azetidinium salt expressed by formula II [R2, R3 and R4 are H, alkyl or (substituted) alkyl; L(-) is anion residue] to provide a 1,4-dihydropyridine derivative expressed by formula III or an acid addition salt thereof. The com pound expressed by formula I has powerful calcium antagonistic action and hypotensive action, on the other hand, excellent action selectivity without antiblood platelet agglutination action and is chemically stable and readily prepared a pharmaceutical. |
