The wheel hub (2), driving the tool mandrel (4), has a number of blades (20), propelled by the air flow. Lateral cheeks (26,28) sandwich the blades between them, forming propulsion chambers (C) for the air flow. Exhaust ports (E1-En) connect some of the chambers, allowing air circulation. These exhaust ports may be housed in the blade bodies, near the hub end (20a). The turbine casing (8) lateral walls (12,14) may have a cylindrical wall (16) between, producing an enclosure (18) with exhaust ports open towards the lateral walls. The ports may be variously shaped. USE/ADVANTAGE - High speed rotary dental tools. Reduces turbine power loss and wear from exhaust air, increasing efficiency.
