PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of defrosting efficiency as well as the reduction of noise level during the operation of a cooling unit by a method wherein a box body composed of a fan panel a drain pan, etc., is provided with an evaporator and a defrosting heater in its interior and a fan motor and movable damper fins on the outer wall thereof. CONSTITUTION:The cooling unit is installed on the upper wall of a prefabricated refrigerator or the like and is provided with an evaporator 5 and a defrosting heater 6 located inside a box body composed of a fan panel 1, a side panel and a drain pan 4 and with a fan motor 8 and a damper 12 located on the outer wall thereof. The damper 12 is composed of movable streamline damper fins 12a, a damper top plate 12b and a damper bottom plate 12c. Upon cooling, each fin 12a is opened by the air pressure produced by rotation of a fan 9 and the air cooled by the evaporator 5 is delivered through an orifice 1b into the refrigerator, while, upon defrosting, a fin 12b is completely closed to realize an efficient defrosting. |
