PURPOSE:To automatically focus a laser beam by using a sensor which works when the tip end of a nozzle comes near to an object to be machined having a specific distance between them. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam emitted from the exiting end 6 is focused on the vicinity of the front end face of the nozzle by providing a laser torch circuit, positioning the exiting end 6 of a fiber 5 which introduces the laser beam emitted by a laser oscillator 4 in a clamping cylinder 2 having the tapered nozzle 1 and providing a condensing lens 3 in front of the exiting end, the laser beam emitted from the exiting end 6 is focused on the vicinity of the front end face of the nozzle and the laser oscillator 4 works by the action of a sensor which detects that the front end of the nozzle comes near to the object to be machined 8 having a specific distance between them. Thus, the laser torch is clamped to make the operation easy and the durability of the tip end of the nozzle is improved. |
