A plasma liquid crystal display panel has a transparent front plate (12), a liquid crystal module (10), a plasma module (20), and a back plate (25). A C voltage carrying column electrodes (14) locate between the front plate and an intermediate plate (13). The base plate supports data lines (22') and line scanning cathodes (23').
