The vibrating bed refuse separator extracts light packing material from other refuse. It has an adjustment for the frequency and amplitude of vibration of the bed. The frequency and amplitude are adjusted to optimally suit the lengthwise and crosswise gradients of the bed. Equipment is arranged along the edge and end of the bed to collect the separated material. Provision is made for extracting gas arising from friction resistance which also allows for a short period of excess pressure to be created. Bacteria and other contaminating substances are also extracted. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vibrating bed separates light packing material from other materials of strongly differing size, mass and shape.
