SUBSTRATE FOR PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS AND METHOD OF MAKING IT

A substrate for printed circuit boards consists of a multi-layer structure of basalt fibre cloth sheets impregnated with a polymer binder preferably containing boron nitride in the quantity of 2-10 % by weight. The substrates may be obtained by impregnating the basalt fibre cloth sheets with a polymer binder, drying and assembling the impregnated sheets in stacks and their thermopressing. The surface of the basalt fibres is preferably covered with 0.2-0.5 % low molecular polyamide resin and in the polymer binder is introduced 2-10 % boron nitride.
