This barrier comprises a post on which an arm (4) is mounted in articulated fashion, which arm prevents or allows access to a space. The arm (4) is actuated by a jack (28) which is fed with pressurised fluid (5), over which the vehicle moves before entering the space. A coded switch (7) allows the arm to be released for opening. A mat (6) on which at least one wheel of the vehicle rests when the latter is parked holds the arm (4) open and returns the arm to the closed position after the vehicle has departed.
