Disclosed is a method of obtaining an aqueous pharmaceutical composition containing 50 miligrams or more per milliliter of composition a compound of the formula: H-MetO2-Glu-His-Phe-D-Lys-Phe-OH. The composition is surprisingly stable in comparison to aqueous compositions containing less of the compound, and has a greater intranasal bioavailability.
