<p>Before introducing gas of known temp. into a solid calorimetric cell, the latter is emptied and thermal equilibrium is established. After closing the cell, the quantity of heat produced by the thermodynamic transformation is measured. The steady thermal state is established and the power produced by the radioactive material is measured. The power: heat ratio is multiplied by a determined coefft. to give the content of radioactive material. Specifically, the temp. of the gas introduced in the cell is that of the calorimeter.</p> |
