The handlebar contains a strip of long continuous fibre composite material, end to end. Two central sections (A,A1) are arranged to be flexible, allowing movement of the handle ends (C,C1), relative to the central support (B). The movement axis is parallel to the ground, attenuating shocks, but the central sections (A,A1) are stiff in the horizontal plane, for precise steering.The handlebar may have variable geometry, the central sections (A,A1) are thinner and wider than the central support (B), forming interfaces with the outer rigid handles (C,C1) and the steering bracket.
