<p>PURPOSE:To economically provide a carrier to support microbe which can be formed into a physically desired shape suitable for microbe to inhabit and is effective to improve waste water or malodor treatment efficiency by using a hardened body containing fluidized bed boiler ashes discharged out of a fluidized bed boiler as a main component. CONSTITUTION:A carrier to support microbe is used for waste water treatment or a malodor treatment apparatus using the work of microbe. In this case the carrier to support microbe is prepared from a hardened body containing fluidized bed boiler ashes discharged out of a fluidized bed boiler as a main component. As the fluidized bed boiler ashes, ashes containing 10-50wt.% of calcium soluble in water as unslaked lime are used. At the time of preparation of the hardened body, industrial wastes of calcium silicate-type porous hardened body are added. Further at the time of preparation of the hardened body, cement and slag are added. The porosity of pores with 500mum or smaller pore diameter in the carrier is set to be 10-60%. As a result, using an economical material, a carrier suitable for microbe to inhabit is obtained.</p> |
