PURPOSE:To provide a new peptide originating from food, an inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme containing the same as an active ingredient and production process thereof. CONSTITUTION:Three kinds of polypeptides having the amino acid sequence of formula I, formula II or formula: Leu-Lys-Leu. An angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor containing at least one of them. The process for producing the inhibitor by hydrolysis of actinic substances. The peptide can be used as a variety of food and drug products, hypotensor and/or vasodilator. |
