摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable a screen to be large, to be read easily in a wide visual field angle, and to consume less power, and have a large shock resistance by holding a liquid crystal material containing a ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal by a resin substrate. CONSTITUTION:Nearly an entire surface of a main body 1 is a large-screen LCD 2 and an IC chip 7 is provided inside. A display 2 uses a ferroelectric liquid crystal material 14 containing a ferroelectric polymer crystal such as copolymer, allows strength and durability against external force such as shock and bending to be improved, and at the same time allows power consumption to be reduced. A flexible resin substance such as polyamide is used as two resin substrates 16 holding the liquid crystal material 14, thus obtaining a display surface which has a large area and can display a curved surface. The chip 7 takes external information into a built-in CPU, writes it into a memory and at the same time processes it, and then displays it on the display 2 through a drive image signal processing circuit. Also, information is taken into the CPU by pressing a touch panel 21 at the upper-layer part of the display 2, thus modifying the display details directly.</p>
