PURPOSE:To reduce the production of noise to a room space by providing an acoustical opening part which serves to transmit only sound to part of an external plate of a body exposed to a ceiling back space. CONSTITUTION:An indoor unit 100 of a ceiling buried air conditioner sucks indoor air from an air suction inlet 11 by the rotation of a fan 2, and is air- conditioned in a heat exchanger 3 and is further blow out from an air blow-off outlet 12 into a room space. In this case, there is formed an opening part capable of transmission of only sound, i.e., an acoutical opening part 7A on part of an upper surface outer plate of the indoor unit 100. The acoustical opening part 7A comprises a porous plate-shaped opening part 8A where part of the outer plate 1 is formed into a porous plate, and part 9A comprising a thin sheet sticked to the inside of the former or a sound absorption material with greater flow resistance. Hereby, any noise particularly produced in a blow-off side space 4 is radiated through the opening part 7A to a ceiling back space to reduce the propagation of the noise into a room. |
