PURPOSE:To provide a control device for a tower type multistory parking garage in which a required torque in starting a drive motor can be reduced to the minimum torque suitable to mechanical friction of a conveyor of the multistory parking garage. CONSTITUTION:A control device comprises a stoppage time determining circuit 5 to determine a stoppage time of a conveyor 16, a rotation direction determining circuit 7 to determine a rotation direction of an induction motor 2, a speed limit frequency number reference circuit 8 to set the upper limit of a rotation speed of the induction motor 2, and a timing circuit 6 to actuate a mechanical brake 3 by an output of a DC voltage detection circuit 9 to detect a DC side voltage of an inverter 4, and change the polarity of the speed limit frequency number reference circuit 8. |
