PURPOSE:To improve a coercive force by compositely adding Cu and Al as main ingredients of an R-T-B sintered magnet. CONSTITUTION:A sintered magnet contains as main ingredients R (R: at least one of rare earth elements including Y), T (T: Fe or Fe and Co) and B, and contains 0.1-0.5wt.% of Cu and 0.2-0.6wt.% of Al. The content of the Co is 3wt.% or less. The magnet contains at least one of Ag, Ga, Mn, Sn, Mg, V, Ti, Cr, Nb, Zr and Mo. The magnet contains 31wt.% or less of the R content. Thus, even if the R content for obtaining a high residual magnetic flux density is reduced, a coercive force of the R-T-B series sintered magnet is remarkably improved by compositely adding the Cu and the Al. |
