PURPOSE:To switch a shift solenoid at proper time under all driving conditions when shifting to higher gears by means of the release of a cluth. CONSTITUTION:Fuzzy inference is carried out in accordance with throttle opening, throttle returning speed, engine speed, the temperature of hydraulic oil and the deceleration of a vehicle, and the control of shift timing to be done by 8 timer is distinguished from the control of shift timing based on the rotational ratio according to functional values obtained from the inference and to the vehicle speed. When the control of shift timing to be done by the timer is selected, a solenoid is switched to its after-shift condition after a timer value, which is set to the smaller value the greater the vehicle speed, has elapsed. When the control of shift timing based on the rotational ratio is selected, the larger rotational ratio is selected the greater the vehicle speed, and when the rotational ratio is reached the solenoid is switched to after-shift condition. |
