The invention relates to a device installed on motor vehicle, making it possible to signal to the vehicle behind that one is about to execute a reverse parking manoeuvre called parallel parking. This signalling, using the existing statutory lights, consists in being able simultaneously to illuminate an indicator and the reversing light or lights, using a control available to the driver, and to do this when the vehicle is in forward gear. Depending on the embodiments, the lights are continuous or flashing. For reasons of safety, their intensity may be decreased at night and their use limited to low speeds. The parking control may consist of one or two switches or be incorporated with the control of the indicator in order to form only a single unit.
