Control device 10 for a display at a lift, comprising a clock 11 giving time information, memory means 12 for storing of several message information groups depending on time, selection means 13 for selecting the message information group corresponding to the actual time received from the clock 11, from the memory means 12, and synthesising means 16 giving the selected message information group combined with general information as display information. When the selection means 13 receive the message information corresponding to the actual time from the memory means 12 on the basis of the time information from the clock 11, the synthesising means 16 carry this to the display units 1A, 21A in combination with the general information, whereby an appropriate message information group is presented to the users of the lift 1 at appropriate time. <IMAGE>
