PURPOSE:To reduce the production cost of molds by providing exhausting means for discharging gas from the interstices defined among a plurality of segment pieces. CONSTITUTION:In the main body 1 of a mold, limited spaces S1 are formed wherein the limited spaces are made among a plurality of segment pieces 2 and permit gas such as air or the like to pass therethrough but rubber not to pass. In this way, the mold is not required to provide a great number of vent holes and, therefore, the surface of a tire can be prevented from giving rise to a large number of fur-like spues. Since the constitution of mold is simplified, the mold production cost is made low and, at the same time, the assembly and disassembly thereof become readily and the maintenance property of the mold is improved. |
