PURPOSE: To enhance the heat load capacity of an X-ray tube for computer tomography. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray tube includes a cathode 15 for the generation of an electron beam 24, a rotation anode 16 having an illuminated surface 22 to which the electron beam 24 is applied on a focus, and deflection devices 42, 43 for the deflection of the electron beam 24, the deflection devices deflecting the electron beam 24 in relation to an electric deflection signal IA in a deflecting direction crossing the circumferential direction of the rotation anode 16, in such a way that a focus BF periodically moves from a starting-end position to a terminal-end position.
