PURPOSE:To lessen a shock when a foot is separated from an accel pedal by inhibiting the speed change during a fixed period of time if the throttle opening suddenly decreases in a vehicle including a speed change control device for giving an operation command to an actuator for changing the groove width. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle comprising an engine, a transmission 1 for transmitting the input from the engine to driving wheels, a continuously variable transmission mechanism which is built in the transmission and includes a driving pulley 17, a driven pulley 19 and a belt 15, an actuator for changing the groove widths of the driving pulley 17 and the driven pulley 19, and a speed change control device for giving an operation command to the actuator, if the throttle opening suddenly decreases, the speed change is inhibited during a fixed period of time. Accordingly, a shock produced when lock-up is released and a shock produced when the change gear ratio suddenly changes can be separated from each other, so that a shock when a foot is separated from an accel pedal can be reduced. |
