PURPOSE:To enable performing efficiently control such as acceleration and braking by causing a secondary conductor corresponding to the weight of load to be mounted on a carrier to move up and down relatively to a stator. CONSTITUTION:A support plate 9 in a carrier CR is supported by a carrier bottom 11 via a compression coil spring 10 and a secondary conductor 3 lowers by a weight of load if such load is placed on the support plate 9. Therefore, if the weight of load on the support plate 9 is heavy, an amount of lowering of the secondary conductor 3 increases and a thrust also increases. If the weight of load is light, the support plate 9 rises by a spring force of the compression coil spring 10 and the thrust decreases. When a linear motor car stops, its braking force is large, if the weight of load is heavy, the force is small, while the load weight is light the force is light. Consequently, no bouncing will occur when the car stops. |
