The connection device includes standard complementary multi-pin connectors (11, 15), one of which (11) is mounted elastically in a block (9). The block (9) is fixed to a crosspiece which is actuated by a mechanism for plugging-in and unplugging a circuit breaker on a chassis in such a way as to provide an automatic connection of the connectors (11, 15) upon plugging in. Compression springs (16) elastically stress the connector (11) mounted in the block towards the outside of the block. <IMAGE>
