TREAD RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR STUDLESS TIRE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent processability and remarkably improved friction coefficient on ice without lowering the tensile strength and abrasion resistance of the processed rubber article by compounding a rubber component with a specific amount of a polyester resin having an average particle diameter falling within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The objective tread rubber composition for studless tire having improved controlling performance on frozen road surface and snow-covered ground is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a tread rubber component composed mainly of natural rubber and/or a synthetic diene rubber such as polybutadiene rubber with (B) 3-20 pts.wt. of a polyester resin having an average particle diameter of 20-150mum and kneading the mixture with a Banbury mixer, a roll mill, etc.
