<p>PURPOSE:To use a magnetic tape without damaging the tape by providing a magnetic head base having a same shape as the projecting part of a rotary drum side ring shape projecting part for attaching a magnetic head in the vicinity of the magnetic head projecting window part of a rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head base 2 is provided with a base 20a with a prescribed thickness and the projecting part 20b having a same shape as the rotary drum side annular projecting part. The projecting part 20b is provided so that the outside radius R1 and the inside radius R2 of the rotary drum side annular projecting part are satisfied by relations R1=R4, R2=R3. The outflow path of the peripheral air of the magnetic head projecting window part 25 is closed sufficiently. Thus, an air film formed by the air entrapped between the thin tape of a vapor deposition tape, etc., being the magnetic tape travelling along a helical lead 17 provided on a fixed drum 4 in a fixed state and the rotary drum is stabilized even in the vicinity of the window part 25 of the drum 1.</p> |
