PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a battery by providing an insulating projection in a battery which is pushed out to shut the charging current when an unusual charge happens. CONSTITUTION:An insulating porjection 8 which is to protect a battery from an unusual charge is prevent to push out from the battery by a spring 9. If an unusual charge happens from any cause, unit cells 1,1',1'',...swells to push out the insulating projection 8 from a hole 6 provided on a terminal 5 opposing against the force of the spring 9 as illustrated as 8'. Thus a space is formed between the terminal 5 and a contact terminal 10 of a charger and the charging current is shut. |
