摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a printer minimizing the wasteful time accompanied by the movement of paper and requiring no complicated route in a paper feed track. CONSTITUTION:Head vertical feed guides 8 guiding the vertical feed of a print head 6 are attached to a head lateral feed guide 7 guiding the lateral feed of so as to be freely movable in a lateral direction. A platen 7b is provided in parallel to the moving surface of the print head 6. The head vertical feed guides 8 are moved in the lateral direction by the head lateral feed belt 9d driven by a head lateral feed motor 9 and the print head 6 is moved in a vertical direction by the head vertical feed belt 10a driven by a head vertical feed motor 10. A shutter 12 engaging with paper to position the same is provided to the paper feed track 11 having paper feed rollers provided along the head lateral feed guide 7 so as to freely advance and recede. The paper positioned by the shutter 12 is sucked by the vacuum suction nozzle provided to the lower part on the side of the platen 7b to be fixed during printing.
