PURPOSE:To speed up mouth opening, and improve reproducibility by using a prescribed shape gripping tool consisting of shape memory alloy used for reinforcing a connecting part, and automatizing the mouth opening of the gripping tool when a substrate for liquid crystal and so on and an electric circuit are connected to each other. CONSTITUTION:A long size mouth opening jig 2 is used in such a shape that a cross section of the central part continuing to pinnacle shape tips can be expanded smoothly up to an inside cross sectional shape of a gripping tool 1 consisting of shape memory alloy when a slit 19 is blocked up, and that an inside cross section of the gripping tool 1 which can create the slit 19 whose rear cross section continuing to the central part is larger than a cross sectional U shape can be expanded smoothly up to a finally usable shape when the slit 19 is opened. By constituting in this way, since the jig 2 can be inserted smoothly into the gripping tool, a degree of freedom relating to a position can be increased. Since the shape is also changed continuously and smoothly, the mouth opening becomes possible up to a finally usable condition with accurate reproducibility. an mouth opening operation can be also carried out below a martensite transformation starting temperature, so that the jig is hardly covered with frost. |
