1. A method, performed by a handheld portable wireless communication device, the method comprising:
obtaining, by the handheld portable wireless communication device, image data from an environment of the handheld portable wireless communication device using one or more cameras, wherein at least one of the one or more cameras is located on an edge of the handheld portable wireless communication device, wherein the edge corresponds to a plane perpendicular in relation to a plane of a display of the handheld portable wireless communication device, wherein the one or more cameras includes multiple cameras, and wherein obtaining the image data from the one or more cameras includes:
selecting at least one of the multiple cameras based on an orientation of the handheld portable wireless communication device with respect to a horizontal position; detecting, by the handheld portable wireless communication device, a change in the environment of the handheld portable wireless communication device based on the obtained image data; and providing, by the handheld portable wireless communication device, the obtained image data from the one or more cameras in a display insert window on the display of the handheld portable wireless communication device, in response to the detected change in the environment. |
