Venturi mixer - for mixing gas of sharply changing quality with air esp. for combustion engines

A venturi mixer to mix gas and air in combustion engines has a central pipe within a venturi, in front of which is a surrounding pipe through which gas flows through a circumferential slot to the venturi constriction. The novelty is that the venturi body can be repositioned axially and has a conical cross-section. Pref. the venturi body presents a semi-circular rounded leading edge to the air inflow, and the central venturi body subsequently tapers to a cone. USE/ADVANTAGE - Arrangement facilitates construction of a venturi mixer which operates reliably in the presence of sharply changing gas quality.
