PURPOSE:To obtain FRTR formed body having smooth surface and high strength by a method wherein cut matters, which are prepared by cutting a plurality of different glass fiber bundles having specified broadening coefficients, are fallen in the order named so as to pile up to mat-like material in order to produce resin reinforcing material and forming material. CONSTITUTION:Glass fiber bundles 7 are drawn from cops 8 made of glass fiber bundle having the broadening coefficient of 2-4.5 and, after that, wound reversely. The fiber bundle is fed between a cylindrical supporting body 10 with cutting blades 9 fixed radially thereto and a rubber roll 11 so as to be cut and fallen in the form of cut material on continuously drawn non-woven cloth 12. Next, glass fiber bundle 13 having the broadening coefficient of 1.2-1.8 is similarly drawn from cops 14 so as to be similarly cut and fallen on the cut material made out of the glass fiber bundle 7. Further, the glass fiber bundles 7 having the broadening coefficient of 2-4.5 are similarly cut and fallen. Furthermore, while being continuously pulled by winding with a take-up 16, mat-like material 15 is needled with a needing device 17 so as to bind glass fibers together. |
