RESIDUE REMOVING METHOD OF GINSENG EXTRACT

This method removes the residue of ginseng extracts by steam distillation. In the most steam distillation, many bubbles are raised to make solution overflow. This method employs a rotating fan to destroy and remove bubbles. Pressure of steam is 0.3-2 kg/cm2, and rotating velocity of fan is 1,200-3,600 RPM. Appropriate quantity of flux to treat is 100-400 ml/min. In extraction, purified water of 8-15 times the ginseng is added to ginseng and they are steam distilled 2-4 times for 1-2 hr and simultaneously bubbles are removed by rotating the fan.
