PURPOSE:To facilitate the production of sound by a simple constitution, in a musical sound synthesization by means of FM calculation. CONSTITUTION:In the inside of the circulation passage of a waveform signal, a FM calculating unit consisting of an adder 12, a sine-wave table 22, an adder 33, and a logarithmic/linear conversion table 24, and a digital filter consisting of a subtracter 31, a multiplier 32, an adder 33, and shift registers 34, 35 are interposed. The FM calculating unit forms wave-form signals having abundant higher harmonic wave components, and the digital filter changes the ratio of the higher harmonic wave components. Since the change of the higher harmonic wave components by means of a filter can be intuitively and easily understood, the production of sound can be facilitated. Further, by functioning the shift register 34 constituting the digital filter even as the delay means of the circulation passage, the number of delaying means can be reduced, so that the constitution can be simplified. |
