<p>The tire (21) has a toroidal carcass (31) of at least two carcass plies (32), a tread rubber (36) superimposed on the carcass (31), and a belt (40) disposed between the carcass (31) and the tread rubber (36). The belt (40) has inner belt plies (41) and outer belt plies (42). Each inner belt ply (41) contains cords (46) extending substantially zigzag at a cord angle A of 5-15 DEG with respect to the equatorial plane (E) in the circumferential direction and being bent at both lateral ends (44,45) of the ply. Each outer belt ply (42) contains cords (51) having a cord angle B larger than A. In this tire, the occurrences of standing wave and cut peel off are prevented, with a reduction of tire weight. <IMAGE></p> |
