The present invention relates to methods for the therapeutic control and treatment of lesions, including tumors, of the skin or of deep-seated origin (such as of the liver, colon, breast, lymphoma or lungs). The methods comprise administering to a patient having such lesions, two or more sensitizing agents in amounts sufficient to induce a delayed hypersensitivity response and applying or administering to the patient a minimal of an immunological preparation sufficient to induce cell-mediated challenge response. The immunological preparation comprises two or more sensitizing agents in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The preparation may also contain an adjuvant. The immunological preparation of the present invention can also be used to identify early lesions and prevent the progession of same. |
