<p>PURPOSE:To move or copy data between windows without passing a temporary storage area by directly transferring data in a designated desired area of one window to a desired area of another window through a set route. CONSTITUTION:Data is moved from a process A using one window A to a process B using another window B. In this case, a window manager WM issues a range designation request 1 to the process A when an operator designates the range of data by the window A. When the operator designates the movement destination by the window B, the manager WM issues a data movement request 2 to the process B. The process B sets a transmission route between the process B itself and the process A and issues a transfer request 3 to the process A to transmit range designated data. The process A transfers designated data and deletes transferred data if necessary. Thus, the operation passing the temporary storage area is omitted.</p> |
