PURPOSE:To obtain a rare earth magnet having high magnetic properties by sealing an alloy consisting essentially of the group of rare earth metals and the group of transition metals in a vessel and executing heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:An alloy for a rare earth magnet is manufactured by sealing an alloy consisting essentially of the group of rare earth metals and the group of transition metals in a vessel and executing heat treatment. At the time of sealing the alloy in the vessel, rare earth metals are jointly sealed. At the time of sealing the alloy in the vessel, its state is regulated to a vacuum or pressure reduced one. Or, it is regulated to an atmosphere of an inert gas. In this way, the reduction of the process cost can be realized. |
