A control for pressing medium compressed fibreboard in an infinitely variable press to a specified thickness, and hardening in temperatures from one hundred and fifty to two hundred degrees centigrade. The board is subjected to low pressure to one hundred and fifty to two hundred per cent of its final thickness for three to fifteen per cent of the total compression time. After that maximum pressure is exerted to press the board to one hundred and five to one hundred and twenty per cent of its final thickness for three to twenty per cent of the total compression time. ADVANTAGE - Enables this type of press to be used in the production of medium compressed board. |
