The device (1) for massaging the skin comprises a casing (2) which can be held by hand for the purpose of moving the device over the skin, this casing (2) carrying on its face adjacent to the skin two parallel and separated rollers (3, 4). The roller (3) situated at the front along the direction (F) of movement of the apparatus is driven in rotation by an electric motor (5) housed inside the casing (2), whereas the roller (4) situated at the rear is driven in rotation solely by contact with the skin, means being provided in order to brake the said roller (4) sufficiently to form a fold of skin (9) between the two rollers (3, 4).
