PURPOSE:To provide the manufacturing method for rare earth-iron-boron based nitrogen intruding type permanent magnet material having improved magnetic characteristics by intruding boron into an alloy mainly composed of R (R indicates at least a kind of rare earth element containing yttrium), boron and T (T indicates a 3d group transition metal element mainly composed of Fe). CONSTITUTION:An alloy magnet, consisting of R (R indicates at least a kind of yttlium-containing rare-earth element) by 10 to 30 atomic %, boron by 2 to 28 atomic %, and T (T indicates a 3d group transition metal element) by 65 to 82 atomic %, is heated up to 200 to 800 deg.C in ammonia gas or ammonia- containing reducing mixed gas. After a nitrogen intruding treatment has been conducted, the alloy magnet is cooled down to room temperature. |
