Recombinant DNA comprising a chimeric nucleotide sequence which encodes a V beta 17 chain of the T cell antigen receptor, the said sequence being composed: - of a sequence of human origin and which encodes the entire variable part (V beta 17), its leader, diversity (D beta ) and junction (J beta ) sequence, - and of a sequence of murine origin which encodes the constant complementary part (C beta 1 or C beta 2) which is absent from the human sequence above, the two sequences being joined at a natural or artificially created restriction site, antibodies obtained using the said DNAs, pharmaceutical compositions, diagnostic products containing them, and process for preparing them.
